Yay no &amp anymore!! and spellchecking with ä,ö,ü :) Great!!!

  2. David Says:

The most annoying problem I’ve come across so far is having hyperlinks activate the area 1-2 lines above where the actual link is in the conversation. It may be caused by the setting to mark a conversation where I left it (in simple display mode, no bubble chat). See Bug 13510 in Bugzilla.

  3. Paul Lyon Says:

Is there a direct download link? Trillian refuses to prompt me no matter how much I restart it and sign in/out. I’ve tried check for beta updates enabled/disabled.

  4. Brian Says:

@David – I have the same problem, have reported this bug a long time ago… very annoying

I don’t see spellcheck is working here … I usually use Trillian in English and in this new beta not working here, I changed to Spanish and does not work … I have the 2 Spell Check settings enabled …

    Dear Developers,
A few thought points I observed in the beta that I would like to share with you:
    1) Friend requests -doesn’t show instantly from/for which account
    2) Facebook & twitter: Icons remain in the dish tray (right bottom panel). There should be some option in the ‘Preferences’ whether to keep them or not. For example, I don’t want my dish tray crowded. So I should be able to uncheck it.
    3) Friends online with their status: look kinda ugly. Needs beautification.
    4) For themes please: Cordonata was good. With the new versions, lot of features in it seem disabled. One important feature missing in Cordonata is the news feed from Twitter/facebook. Only the box show without any trends/timeline/stories. I tried updating shockwave, flash but still the boxes remain empty.
Just some suggestion-take them or leave them. But I have always loved Trillian.
    Cheers!

    Missed one more:
    5) Any support for Rediff Bol and Indiatimes? Would be wonderful-these are quite popular messengers in India.
    Regards..

  8. Gennath Says:

Ah great news. Hat to uninstall the previous build due to crashes :) Looking forward to this one… LOVED the spellchecker!

  9. Palme Says:

Spellcheck is great and all, but why does it seem to demand American English instead of my system configured British English?
Nothing infuriates an English person more than having a red line under correctly spelled words like ‘colour’ or ‘recognise’

  10. m00h Says:

hyperlink/image bug is fixed but skypekit isnt connecting anymore…

  11. Dirk Says:

Shouldn’t there be an auto-update if I have “check for beta versions of Trillian” checked?

  12. Scream81 Says:

@CuteIndianGuy: Have a look at the Skin page to find updated Skin, also Cordonata 5: http://developer.ceruleanstudios.com/index.php/Main_Page
You can hide the twitter and facebook icons in the systray… .

  13. Ben K Says:

The spell checker does not seem to recognize contractions involving “have”, as in “we’ve” and “I’ve”. It underlines “ve”.

  14. Allan Says:

i hope this patch fixed the crash problem when we try to post a tweet in twitter client.

  15. CuteIndianGuy Says:

@Scream81: Thanks for the info. Can now use Cordonata – I like it a lot but I liked Avion especially with the ‘Nature’ theme. Wonderful work. Just couple of queries, if you could kindly respond, thanks:
    1) Icons & Smileys: a}The ‘Mail’ icons – can they be replaced with the original Trillain icons that were multicolored – a different color for each service? Also for the looks.
b}Is there a pack for native/original service icons for each service? I saw one but I guess it’s not compatible with Trillian 5.
c}Will original smileys be available for Trillian 5? By original, I mean native for each service? Again I saw one but it’s only compatible with ver.4 only.
    2) Plugin: I added the weather plugin and its works fine as a charm. Only thing that during configuration of ‘time’ – it has options like +5 GMT, +6GMT. Now India is +5:30 GMT. That option is not available. Is it possible to add the 30 mins too?
Thanks again for your support. You’re doing a fantastic job for a software that I love and have been using since ages.
    Cheers!

  16. CuteIndianGuy Says:

Hi again, just 1 more query please:
    3) I observed across the versions of Trillian including this one, when you select ‘Pin Mail to Contact List’ for Gmail, you can see all the mails listed and you can delete, mark as spam or reply. But it’s not possible to do the same with other services like Yahoo or Msn or AOL/AIM..they only show the latest ones with no function of deleting, marking as spam or replying.
And with AOL/AIM when I click on the icon it takes me to the website but I have to sign in manually everytime to get to my inbox.
    Can these be rectified?
    Thanks..

  17. Amir Says:

Where is the file 5.2 (build 9) ?????????

  18. Scream81 Says:

@CuteIndianGuy: 1a: you have to do that manual y for yourself. All the iconpacks use the default mail icons in the /skins/windows/images folder. Change them to your favorite icons …
1b: The native icons made by fuzKuz should be fully compatible with trillioan 5
1c: Ask the author of the original icons in the forum for an update.. but I’m sure he’s quite busy with real life…
2: Ask the author of the plugin in his thread about that problem.
3: Thats because gmail allows the use of imap, the others don’t so they have to use pop3 to display the mails. With that you only have limited possibilities.

I just had to leave a comment about how much I enjoy the Trillian product. Thank you so much!

  20. Rick Says:

The betas can always be downloaded from this link: http://www.trillian.im/get/windows/beta/

Might be useful to add this to the post :)

  21. Nesnews Says:

Tried 5.2 U 9 and when using the jabber plugin for a Openfire server I am not able to see replies done in a conference chat room. I see that I am there and I can see everyone that is in there but can’t see what is im’d.

  22. dbb Says:

It appears in build 9 that messages in XMPP MUCs are no longer displayed. Messages are sent and other clients receive them, but Trillian never shows them. Anybody else experiencing this?

  23. Hanzsi Says:

Does this version work with Linux (wine)? Anyone?

  24. kjordan2001 Says:

I think the taskbar preview could still use some work since images are zoomed and pixelated.

  25. Bart Says:

The download is of course available at http://www.trillian.im/get/windows/beta/

  26. Saiber Says:
